Princess Diana’s amethyst necklace now belongs to American TV star Kim Kardashian of Armenian descent, People magazine reports.

The diamond necklace was purchased by the TV star at an annual Sotheby’s Royal & Noble auction. The diamonds are 5.25 carats. it was sold for $197,453. Sotheby’s notes that the original auction price doubled.

The late Princess of Wales wore the jewel many times, but especially at the 1987 Birthright Charity Gala in London.
