London Fashion Week kicks off

Fashionistas from all over the world have moved from the American continent to the European one. Extravagant outfits appear in Somerset House and Soho twice a year: in February and September. It is noteworthy that in contrast to its neighbors (Paris and Milan) in the British capital they like to experiment with textured things, which are difficult to classify as classic silhouettes. Although this is where one of the key prestigious fashion brands, Burberry, is based.

Presenting their new outfits during LFW Fall/Winter 2023 season will be Molly Goddard, Simone Rocha, Pam Hogg, J.W. Anderson, Christopher Kane, Julien MacDonald, Paul and Joe. Shows to look out for this year include Paul Costelloe, Bora Aksu and Huishan Zhang, who will debut today.

A number of events this season will be dedicated to the late Vivienne Westwood, who has been known worldwide for decades as one of Britain’s top designers.

Oxfam will also host a special show. The aim of the show is to attract public attention to the theme of sustainability and eco-friendliness.

Ukrainian Fashion Week will also take place in London on Tuesday, February 21, and will feature three Ukrainian designers, Frolov, Ksenia Schnaider and Paskal.

Vogue and Snapchat have teamed up for a new immersive exhibition curated by Edward Enninful OBE, editor-in-chief of the British edition of Vogue. The exhibition illustrates how augmented reality can advance the field of physical fashion.
