King Carl III and his spouse, Queen Consort Camilla, attended a reception in Kenya, where once Prince William proposed to Kate Middleton.

Unlike Meghan Markle, Kate Middleton maintains excellent relationships with all the members of the royal family. Now, Kate is very much loved within the royal family. King Carl III recently publicly expressed warm feelings for his daughter-in-law.

Charles and Camilla embarked on an international tour to Africa. The king and queen were received at the State House in Nairobi, Kenya. Kenya holds a special place for the Prince and Princess of Wales. During a ceremonial speech at the banquet, Charles III didn’t miss the moment that it was here, during a trip to Kenya in 2010, that his son, Prince William, proposed to his beloved. The proposal of marriage from Prince William to Kate was made during a safari at the «Lewa» wildlife reserve.

In the same year, during the funeral of Prince Philip, Kate kissed her grieving father-in-law on the cheek.
