Prince Harry wanted to interview Putin and Trump to learn about their childhood traumas

It seems that the cancellation of the contract with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on Spotify has been widely discussed. However, as it turns out, there were substantial reasons behind it. According to the executive director of the streaming service, the issue also stemmed from the controversial plans of the scandalous couple. One of them even included interviews with Putin, Trump, and Zuckerberg. Details will be provided in the next few minutes, as always.

He wanted to interview Putin.

As you may know, the podcast ‘Archetypes’ attempted by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the Spotify streaming platform turned out to be far from successful. As a result, the $20 million contract was terminated, and the company’s policy was reconsidered. But what could have been the reason for such a decision on the part of the head of the service, Bill Simmons, you might ask.

It’s no secret that the man didn’t hesitate to label the scandalously famous couple as ‘damn fraudsters.’ According to him, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle failed to fulfill their commitments regarding the number of show episodes. By the way, some of Simmons’ grievances were directed specifically at the younger son of Charles III.

You see, the thing is, Prince Harry had serious plans for ‘Archetypes.’ For instance, Meghan Markle’s spouse was seriously considering conducting interviews with Putin, Trump, and Zuckerberg. The topic of discussion was supposed to be ‘childhood traumas.’ Needless to say, Prince William’s younger brother wanted to delve into the early years of the personalities’ development. Last but not least, he was interested in the experiences that helped shape them into who they are today.

Prince Harry also had an idea for an episode of ‘Archetypes’ that would have focused on fatherhood, climate change, and even religion. It’s worth noting that the member of the British royal family even hoped to have the Pope as a guest. Quite bold, isn’t it? Unfortunately, none of these ideas ever came to fruition.

«Why are we listening to him?»

Undoubtedly, such ideas were doomed to failure from the very beginning. After all, it’s widely known how infrequently figures like Putin and Zuckerberg grant interviews on such topics. ‘It’s one of those things when they ask, what’s your talent? So, you were born into the royal family and then left. You sell documentaries and podcasts. And nobody cares about your stories unless you’re talking about the royal family and complaining about it,’ Bill Simmons mocked Prince Harry.

The situation wasn’t any better for Meghan Markle. Of course, initially, the podcast launch claimed the top spot on charts worldwide. By the way, the episode featured tennis star and close friend of Meghan, Serena Williams. However, criticism soon poured in for ‘Archetypes.’ You see, many pointed out that it was nothing more than an ‘interview with oneself.

Moreover, it wasn’t without scandal. Some interviews were outright falsified. It turned out that Meghan was not directly involved in quite a few podcast episodes. But who could be in her place? It’s hard to believe, but some of the work was taken on by staff. Subsequently, the recordings were edited to prevent listeners from suspecting substitution.

Given all the mentioned facts, it’s understandable why Spotify terminated the contract with the couple. Do you think differently? Then share your opinion with us in the comments. Let’s discuss together.
