«Your body temperature plays a crucial role in determining your sleep timing,» notes the expert. «This is related to your circadian rhythm – internal biological clocks that control the sleep-wake cycle. Deep sleep is associated with cooling your body, so if you go to bed naked, it allows your body temperature to cool down.»
Moreover, this also leads to an «increase in physical and emotional intimacy,» as skin-to-skin contact increases the production of oxytocin – the hormone associated with love. Research shows that sleeping naked has numerous benefits. According to Healthline, sleeping naked not only helps regulate circadian rhythm and maintain the ideal body temperature, but it also improves sleep, making the skin healthier.
