The American way of cooking tender and very tasty meat. Perfect for lunch, dinner, or festive occasions.

Today we will prepare a very tasty pork dish, American style. The dish turns out rich, and the meat is so tender that it simply melts in your mouth!

We will not be cooking from an expensive cut or a shoulder part, but from a regular pork shoulder. The meat turns out very juicy and aromatic.

I just love cooking this way because it doesn’t require hours of standing at the stove.


2 kg of pork (pork shoulder or blade works well)
350-400g mushrooms (champignons)
Bunch of herbs (dill, parsley)
Spices and salt to taste
5 cloves of garlic
The method is ideal because the meat does not need to be marinated beforehand.

First, wash the meat thoroughly under running water and pat it dry with paper towels. If there is skin, there is no need to remove it, as the meat will be juicier with the skin on.

Rub the meat well with a mixture of salt and spices on both sides.

Mince the garlic and rub the meat well on both sides.

Wash the mushrooms, remove the top layer, and slice them thinly.

Place the piece of meat on parchment paper, then layer the mushrooms and whole sprigs of herbs on top. Wrap it tightly in parchment paper.

Next, transfer the meat wrapped in parchment onto aluminum foil and wrap it securely.

Place a tray of water in one oven rack, and on another rack, place the wrapped meat. Then, put it in the oven.

Place the tray with water on the lowest rack, and above it, place the meat. (Thanks to the water, the meat doesn’t dry out and remains very juicy).

Bake the meat at 180 degrees Celsius for 1.5-2 hours.

The meat will be infused with aromatic spices and mushrooms, resulting in an incredibly delicious dish that is perfect even for a festive table.
