Nicole Kidman graces the cover of the April issue of ELLE Impact Issue magazine. The 56-year-old Oscar winner showcased a series of provocative designer looks.
In one of the photos, Nicole poses in Dolce & Gabbana lingerie in a seductive pose, lying on a mirror.
«On another one, she mimics the famous scene from ‘Basic Instinct’ in a draped Loewe dress.»
In the accompanying interview, Nicole talks about her happy stage in life and the satisfaction she derives from her relationships. «I have a very fulfilling life with people I love. I’m raising daughters. I’m a wife, I’m a best friend. I’m a sister, I’m an aunt. And for me, that’s the meaning of life – and then caring about what we leave behind, who we leave behind and how we do it, and our sense of respect for that.»
Nicole’s next project is the series «Expats» on Amazon, in which she plays a mother whose son goes missing at a night market in Hong Kong.
Though it was a challenging job for a mother of four, she admitted to being grateful for the life lessons her career has taught her. «I’m fortunate to have a job that allows me to explore emotional landscapes — the heavy, the strange, the extraordinary, the whimsical, the beautiful, and the deep,» she said. «I don’t shy away from them, partly because I aspire to explore what it means to be alive and to feel.»
However, there are certain aspects of her work that Nicole isn’t thrilled about. After a glamorous red carpet or a fashionable party, she always wants to return home, to her bubble. «Sometimes it feels a bit unreal. I want to leave, take off the dress, and put on a sweater. It’s like the opposite of Cinderella: I’m happy to come home. I want to warm up, I want to curl up, I want to feel real.»
Nicole lives in Tennessee with her husband, Keith Urban, and their two teenage daughters, Sunday and Faith.
