Julia Roberts will play the lead role in a thriller directed by Luca Guadagnino.

Amazon MGM Studios has started filming «After the Hunt» based on Nora Garrett’s screenplay. The project, created by Imagine Entertainment, revolves around a college professor at a crossroads when confronted with her dark past after a brilliant student accuses one of her colleagues.

Guadagnino is also serving as a producer.

Among Roberts’ recent roles are the 2022 romantic comedy «Ticket to Paradise» alongside George Clooney and the 2023 Netflix thriller «Leave the World Behind.»

Guadagnino is known for directing «Call Me by Your Name» (2017) and «Bones and All» (2022).
