However, there are wealthy individuals who are accustomed to living a simple life and donate most of their wealth to those in need. And they do it anonymously.

Recently, it became known that actor Keanu Reeves founded a charitable foundation over ten years ago, through which he financially assists sick children.

Keanu mentioned this only once, nine years ago, during an interview, but back then, no one even noticed his words.

Back then, he said, «This foundation has been around, I believe, for about six years. I don’t want to be directly involved in charities, so I’ve left all that responsibility to the foundation.»

Keanu Reeves himself lives a very simple life. His house has only two bedrooms and is worth no more than $4 million. He wears ordinary, everyday clothes, takes the subway, and eats fast food.

The actor also strives to help cancer patients. After all, in the 1990s, his sister was suffering from this very disease, and the treatment lasted a whole nine years. Keanu Reeves’s sister says:

«My brother was always there… I always felt his love, and it made me fight more and more.»

She admires and is very proud of her brother.

«I admire her resilience. In life, you can go through various difficulties, but what my sister conquered deserves separate praise,» said the actor.

It’s been 10 years since he talked about his foundation. He continues to work on it, but he prefers to remain silent and do good deeds anonymously.
