Kim and Khloe Kardashian celebrated the fifth anniversary of the opening of the Robert Kardashian Health Center in Los Angeles as part of Esophageal Cancer Awareness Month.

The day after the event, the sisters posted photos and videos from the occasion on their Instagram Stories, honoring the memory of their late father, who passed away at the age of 59 in 2003.

39-year-old Khloe shared a photo of the event poster and added a sweet caption about their father. “My dad is smiling,” she wrote along with a blue heart emoji.

Khloe also posted a video of Kim speaking on stage after their “dear friend” and professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, Dr. Eric Esrailian.

” I go to him for guidance and advice, as do all you guys,” Kim said about Esrailian.

During her speech, she talked about how he helped their family after Robert Kardashian passed away following a battle with esophageal cancer. “When my dad passed away, he was one of the first people that we called to figure out how we could honor his memory,” she said.
