In New York City’s famous Times Square, a gigantic hot dog nearly 20 meters long will appear.

The creation is the brainchild of Brooklyn artists Jen Catron and Paul Outlaw, who will «take street meat to new heights» through their sculpture.

The striking animatronic installation is equipped with hydraulics and confetti explosions.

«The Hot Dog in the City» consists of a massive bun and a classic sausage topped with mustard.

Artists who enjoy incorporating food into their work say hydraulic mechanisms will lift the sculpture skyward at noon on April 30th and shower passersby with confetti. «It’s the perfect depiction of America in Times Square,» joked Catron.
