Until midnight on December 31st, you can become part of space history thanks to NASA’s “Message in a Bottle” campaign.

For those who dream of space, there’s a wonderful opportunity to become part of space history thanks to NASA’s new campaign, “Message in a Bottle.” The space agency offers people the chance to engrave their names on a microchip that will be sent to Jupiter’s moon, Europa.

Next year, the Europa Clipper spacecraft will travel 1.8 billion miles to the icy moon to determine whether the environmental conditions are suitable for life. The spacecraft will orbit Europa to get a closer look at what may be an ocean of water beneath the icy surface.

The microchip contains a poem by American poet laureate Ada Limon. Over a million people have already signed up to have their names included on the chip.

“Message in a Bottle” will be open for signatures until midnight on December 31st. Visit NASA‘s website to add your signature and become part of space history.
