Charles III, who is undergoing cancer treatment, has resumed his royal duties. Alongside his wife, Queen Camilla, he visited the Macmillan Cancer Support oncology center located at the University College Hospital in London.
The Daily Mail reports that the British monarch engaged with those gathered there, spending time with both the doctors and patients of the medical facility. Responding to one of the questions, he noted that he’s feeling quite well: «I’m doing well, thank you, not too bad at all. When you get a diagnosis, it’s always a bit of a shock, isn’t it?»
As is known, the British king continues his treatment for cancer. Currently, doctors are satisfied with the results, and it is against this backdrop that Charles was able to resume his public duties. During a conversation with one of the hospital’s patients, 63-year-old Leslie Woodbridge, the monarch shared that after visiting the center, he must undergo the next session of therapy.
It’s also known that Charles, along with Camilla, will host the Emperor and Empress of Japan on a state visit in June, who will be arriving in Britain. «As the first anniversary of Their Majesties’ coronation approaches, they express their deep gratitude for the numerous kind wishes they have received from around the world over the past year,» representatives of the 75-year-old monarch stated earlier.
By the way, it remains unknown how much longer Charles’s treatment will continue, but doctors are «positively inclined» about the results and his further recovery.
