Hugh Jackman and Jodie Comer are heading to Sherwood Forest. The «Wolverine» star and the «Killing Eve» actress will play the lead roles in director Michael Sarnoski’s film «Robin Hood’s Death.»

According to the official logline, in the film «Robin Hood fights with his past after a life full of crimes and killings.» Instead of the merry outlaw we’ve seen in some previous versions of the story, «a battle-weary loner, heavily wounded, finds himself in the hands of a mysterious woman who offers him a chance for salvation.»

Production on «Robin Hood’s Death» is set to begin in February 2025. «It was an incredible opportunity to reinvent and refresh the story we all know about Robin Hood,» said Sarnoski in his statement. «It was crucial to find the perfect cast to bring the screenplay to life on screen. I’m very excited and believe that Hugh and Jodie will embody this story in a vivid and meaningful way.»
