On Thursday, the actor’s lawyers filed documents in court, where the family’s security guard claims that the actress was turning the children against their father.
Former security guard for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie has revealed that the actress attempted to alienate Pitt from the children. Court documents filed on Thursday, May 9th, state that the former security guard of the celebrity couple, Tony Webb, alleges that Jolie pre-instructed her children not to engage with Pitt during his visitations within the joint custody arrangement. The documents also claim that Jolie utilized non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) to prevent security personnel from disclosing the truth to the public.
These documents were filed within the context of a longstanding legal dispute between the former spouses regarding their vineyard at Château Miraval and subsequent legal battles concerning the use of non-disclosure agreements. According to court papers, Webb served as Jolie’s head of security for 20 years and remained in that position for about 4 years after the couple’s divorce. Webb alleges that Jolie «demanded that he and his contractors sign non-disclosure agreements regarding various personal and professional details of her family’s life.»
After the couple divorced, a years-long custody battle over their six children ensued. During this time, Webb received several calls from a representative of Jolie, who asked him to remind his employees that they had signed non-disclosure agreements with Jolie. Additionally, they were warned that if they testified during the custody proceedings, Jolie would take legal action against them.
It’s known that one of the employees told Webb that he would testify about «overheard statements that Ms. Jolie made to the children, urging them to avoid spending time with Mr. Pitt.» The documents claim that both security contractors testified despite the alleged threat of legal action, and shortly after, Jolie dismissed all of Webb’s employees. Webb himself, who now works for Pitt, personally did not hear Jolie’s alleged statements to her children. Angelina Jolie’s attorney, Paul Murphy, commented on the situation on Thursday.
Mr. Pitt’s continual attempts to leverage nondisclosure agreements for security staff and household employees in his favor remain shameful, as he seeks an expanded nondisclosure agreement for himself to further conceal his regrettable actions. All Angelina ever wanted was divorce and health, as well as positive relationships among all members of their family, including Mr. Pitt. She looks forward to the day when he can finally let her go. — concluded the actress’s lawyer.
