Today, we will share a touching story about an abandoned dog from the Chinese city of Xi’an. Once, it lived in a house with an immigrant from South Korea, but he returned to his homeland, leaving the dog to its fate.

The dog is named Hei. Every day, morning and evening, he comes to the house where he used to live with his owner. Apparently, the animal just cannot believe in the betrayal of his friend and still hopes for a reunion.

At first, there were residents who were afraid of the dog; they complained to the authorities and asked for it to be captured along with all the strays. But there were also those who defended him and regularly fed him.

“We gave meat or other food that we bought especially for Hei. The dog became a link between us, neighbors who otherwise would not have talked to each other,” said Wang.

On a small island of bamboo thickets, the residents set up a small tent so the dog could rest a bit. They also brought food there for him.

They also say that Hei never conflicted with other dogs and never bothered children. He is a very smart, sensitive, and gentle dog.

“This dog is very loyal. For three whole years, she has been waiting for her owner since he left. She never thought of leaving this place or finding a new owner. She hopes that one day her former owner will come back for her,” said one of the girls who looks after the dog.

Hei’s “caretakers” even collected money to take him to the veterinarian. At the clinic, the dog was treated, and all parasites on his body were removed.
