Not everyone gets to experience something like this.

Considering the range of films and diverse roles Leonardo DiCaprio has taken on during his long career, it’s naive to think that anything could surprise the actor. Indeed, «The Revenant,» «The Wolf of Wall Street,» «Titanic,» «Shutter Island» — all these films are well-known and have become iconic, and that’s perhaps the only thing they have in common.

It turned out to be surprisingly easy to surprise DiCaprio. Moreover, the actor considers one of the rather trivial and calm moments in his career to be truly pivotal. We are talking about filming Quentin Tarantino’s «Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood.» But it wasn’t the entire filming experience that stuck with Leo (no surprise there), but the scene where he acted alongside the legendary Al Pacino. Here’s what he had to say about the experience:

“Al and I rehearsed that scene for weeks. A lot of it got cut out, but just sitting and talking about the industry with Al Pacino was one of the highlights of my career. It was incredible to work with someone who could light up a scene like that, and going toe-to-toe with him was unforgettable,”

the actor reminisced nostalgically about the fateful filming.

Later, DiCaprio complained somewhat gruffly that many of their dialogues were ruthlessly cut out in editing. Nevertheless, these filming sessions left an indelible mark on the actor’s heart and the most vivid, «pivotal» impressions. It’s not every day that you get to touch base with a true legend in the world of acting, even if you yourself are already one in some ways.
