Students created a parody of “The Lord of the Rings” with mice instead of hobbits. The epicness rivals the original!

Students from the French animation school Isart Digital created an animated parody of “The Lord of the Rings,” and this is one of those rare cases where the copy rivals the original and becomes a completely independent artistic work. This is the graduation project of 10 students, a four-minute animated film called “Mice.”

Its action takes place in the tunnels of the Paris metro, and instead of hobbits, as you might have guessed, there are mice. Beautiful graphics, conflict, drama, and an unexpected ending — everything you need for a good story in 4 minutes.

French students created the animated film “Mice” — an animated parody of “The Lord of the Rings”

The action takes place in the metro tunnels

The ring of power is now a gilded can key

Instead of Hobbits, there are mice

Instead of Lord Sauron, there is an owl with an army of rats

There is room for chases

For drama

For an epic battle

And an unpredictable ending awaits the viewer
