So that the dog doesn’t feel old and lonely, the owners take turns sleeping with him.
This dog named Spike could be the envy of any canine. Exactly 14 years ago, he found himself in the home of kind people who adored him. And when Spike grew old and started experiencing age-related illnesses, the owners surrounded him with incredible care and love.
The fact is that after his second stroke, the veterinarians prohibited any physical activity for Spike, and the owners decided to create the most comfortable conditions for him. They loved the Springer Spaniel so much that they allowed him to sleep with them.
And since the owners’ bedroom is on the second floor, it became difficult for the old dog to climb the stairs. The owners decided to arrange a sleeping place for the animal on the first floor by setting up a sofa.
They blocked access to the second floor for the dog with a special gate. And so that Spike wouldn’t feel so lonely, the owners decided to take turns sleeping with him. In addition, they feed their pet directly in bed so that he is less exhausted and doesn’t waste his energy.
This is how they take care of their elderly family member—these cheerful and caring people. Over 14 years ago, the family adopted Spike from a shelter.
Before that, the dog had a very difficult life, which is probably why the new owners take such good care of him, creating maximum comfort. If you found this interesting, share it with your friends and family!
