The foster mother refuses to euthanize her little pit bull despite the fact that he was born with problems and looks different.
When a nurse practitioner from Westchester County, New York, one day took in a newborn pit bull puppy who was barely clinging to life, she knew they both had a tough battle ahead. However, Marie Demarco still loved little Sasha and wanted to give her a chance at life, and it was this love that brought them closer together.
Born in early September, the puppy had a visible cleft lip and palate, making it impossible for her to nurse, and on the very first day of her life, she was at risk of dying. They called animal rescue Courtney Bellew, and upon learning that poor Sasha needed urgent help, Marie took her to DeMarco, who had extensive experience caring for sick kittens.
It was later revealed that Sasha also suffered from hydrocephalus (fluid accumulation in the skull), an upper respiratory infection, a urinary tract infection, and orthopedic problems. Demarco said she had an incredible will and determination.
Despite all of this, she really shouldn’t be here. The puppy tried in every way to survive. Despite the first three and a half agonizing months, Sasha grows stronger every day and can even wear adorable dresses and sweaters to keep warm.
You’re a strong baby, Sasha! If you found this interesting, share it with your friends and family!
