Paul McCartney helped a Chilean couple get engaged before his concert at the “Monumental” stadium in Santiago, Chile, according to the Daily Mail.
During the soundcheck, the 82-year-old Beatles legend noticed Yamil Alamo and Leonora Pereira in the crowd holding a sign that read: “Paul, shake our hands, and we’ll get married.” Upon seeing the sign, the musician kindly invited the couple onto the stage.
Once on stage, Yamil got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend, whom he had been dating for six years. Reflecting on this touching moment, Yamil said, “It was a special moment for us. We had dreamed of meeting him for years, and the day finally came! I have no words to describe this event.”
Earlier, it was reported that previously unseen color footage of The Beatles performing 60 years ago, during the height of their popularity, had surfaced online.
