Bellucci, who presented a new documentary film about the theatrical play in which she portrayed Maria Callas, was one of the last to walk the red carpet. After taking a few steps, she turned around and made a gesture as if she had forgotten something, reaching her hand inside the curtain to bring out Tim Burton, much to the delight of the 5,000 spectators. Burton’s unexpected appearance sparked thunderous applause.

The couple famously met in Lyon in 2022 when Burton was awarded the festival prize for his achievements, which was presented to him by Bellucci. The Italian actress has since starred in Burton’s long-awaited sequel to “Beetlejuice,” titled “Beetlejuice 2.”
