Hollywood legend Shirley MacLaine revealed the name of a famous actor who refused to sleep with her.
The 90-year-old actress published her photo memoir titled *The Wall of Life: Pictures and Stories from This Wonderful Life*, where she discusses her tumultuous personal life and numerous romances, including those with Robert Mitchum and Andrei Konchalovsky.
Many of her affairs coincided with her open marriage to businessman Steve Parker, who was her husband from 1952 until their divorce in 1984.
However, the book also includes a photo of Shirley with a Hollywood star whom, despite all her efforts, she could not win over. Under the picture with Morgan Freeman, Shirley wrote, “I proposed to him, and he rejected me.”
Morgan achieved his Hollywood breakthrough in 1989, starring in several films, including the drama *Driving Miss Daisy*, for which he won an Oscar for Best Actor.
Despite being Hollywood stars for over 35 years, with Morgan being just three years younger than Shirley, they have never appeared in a film together.
During her marriage to Steve Parker, Shirley enjoyed affairs with various famous individuals. Notably, she mentions that her romance with Konchalovsky was the reason for her move to America.
Journalist Pete Hamill was also one of her lovers during her marriage, as well as former leader of the Liberal Party of Australia, Andrew Peacock.
However, Shirley insisted that she “never saw a future with any of them, except for Steve,” who was living in Japan with his mistress. “That was enough to start an affair. And it wasn’t a secret. Everyone was aware of the situation.”
