After several months of legal proceedings, Brad Pitt revealed that Angelina Jolie had already received a massive sum for the sale of her share of Château Miraval. The couple, who purchased the winery in 2008, had initially intended it to be a family business, but their relationship issues and eventual divorce led to a dispute over its ownership. Jolie sold her stake to Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler, which prompted Pitt to sue, claiming he had invested significantly in the winery’s success. Jolie’s company, Nouvel, countered with a $250 million lawsuit, alleging Pitt was attempting to take control of the business.

Pitt and Jolie first met while filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2005, and their relationship became public in 2006. They married in 2014, but their separation followed just two years later, with their divorce only recently finalized.
