Currently, the rate of pet abandonment has unfortunately increased. People are afraid of contracting coronavirus through their animals, even though this is unlikely. The WHO has even stated that there is not enough evidence to confirm that a domestic animal can infect a human with COVID-19.

Despite the challenging times the world is facing, a small ray of joy was captured thanks to social media: a photograph of a young girl with limited resources feeding an abandoned puppy.

In the image, the little girl is seen sharing some of her scarce food with the puppy, who approached her with a bit of fear.

“This is the most tender and moving image you’ll see all day: a homeless child feeding a stray puppy,” wrote the author of the post that went viral on Facebook.
