Buzu was a stray dog that lived on one of the busiest streets in Romania. His daily routine consisted of doing tricks to get noticed and taken in, but his attempts always failed, as people seemed too busy to even notice his presence.

However, Buzu never gave up, and every day as he went out searching for food, he also looked for someone who might want to have a loyal life companion.

Whenever Buzu felt that someone could become his new mom or dad, he did his best: he spun around, wagged his tail, barked, and did other tricks. Sadly, no one noticed him.

One day, a person noticed that the little dog slept every night in the same corner of that street. Though the person did not adopt him, they gave him a better life by building a small cardboard house with a pillow inside for him to sleep better and a small bowl so people could offer him food.

Buzu was so happy to have a new little street home that he never strayed far from it, which filled him with hope each day to find a family.

One day, Buzu sniffed a woman and began following her, hoping she would notice him. They walked for many meters, causing Buzu to stray for a long time from his small house.

When Buzu sadly returned, realizing he hadn’t captured the woman’s attention, his heart broke even more upon discovering that a cruel person had stolen his pillow and his food bowl.

When Buzu finally felt that, even in his loneliness, he could have a home, a heartless being stole his only belongings, making him feel abandoned again.

However, not everything was lost for the little dog, as one day, someone noticed him. Though they didn’t take him in, they contacted an animal shelter to bring him there. A few days later, a woman from the shelter found him on the street and approached him to change his life forever.

With a few words and some treats, Buzu agreed to let her pet him and take him to the shelter, where several veterinarians examined his condition and found that the lack of proper nutrition had damaged his skin and teeth.

After a good bath and plenty of care and affection from the shelter staff and the Howl of a Dog foundation, Buzu was healthy and ready to find a family who could give him all the love he had always searched for on the streets.

Finally, life gave this little dog a second chance, and that’s how Emma and Buzu crossed paths. Emma was a woman from England who found the dog on the foundation’s website. After reading this warrior’s story, she didn’t hesitate and applied for his adoption.

After a long process, the shelter’s team agreed to adopt Buzu, and that’s how his new life began—a life full of love and joy with people to whom he will always be grateful.
