Gigi Hadid “offered support” to Zayn Malik following the death of his friend and former One Direction bandmate, Liam Payne, Page Six reports.

“Gigi reached out to Zayn to offer condolences on Liam’s passing,” an insider shared. The source added that the model made it clear she was there for him. “She was there to listen and offer her support should Zayn need anything or just want to talk,” the anonymous source said.

Liam Payne’s death was reported on October 17th. His body was found below the windows of a hotel in Buenos Aires. The musician was buried a month later, with a private funeral ceremony held in the UK for family and close friends. Details surrounding his death were previously revealed by a friend.

As a reminder, Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid were in a long-term relationship. However, the couple separated in the fall of 2021 following a conflict between the singer and the model’s mother, Yolanda Hadid. In an interview with InStyle, the model reflected on some of the lessons she learned from the breakup.
