Brad Pitt and George Clooney will no longer reunite for the *Wolf* film franchise, as the sequel has been canceled by Apple TV+ despite earlier announcements about its production.

This decision comes after the original film, reportedly costing over $200 million, failed to meet expectations, despite being the most expensive television film ever made, according to the Daily Mail.

The two stars had worked on the film with director John Watts. The 43-year-old filmmaker, who was also promoting the *Star Wars* series *Skeleton Crew*, made the announcement after the news broke.

On Friday, Watts told Collider, “I don’t think *Wolf* will have a sequel.”

In August, it was announced that Watts had signed a new deal with Apple to direct a sequel to the action film. The premiere of *Wolf* had been scheduled for September 27 on Apple TV+.
