Sources claim that Ben Affleck’s ex-wife felt like a «pawn» in the relationship between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. Months before the couple’s official divorce, Garner reportedly assumed the role of a «marriage consultant,» attempting to help them save their family. Those close to the actress worried that she was making a mistake by acting as a «mediator» in the couple’s relationship.

«Her friends believe she shouldn’t have gotten so involved in helping J.Lo rebuild her marriage with Ben,» said the insider, noting that Jennifer Garner is «too kind and genuinely wanted to help» the couple.

Now, Ben Affleck’s former wife tries to avoid interacting with Jennifer Lopez, making exceptions only for matters involving the children she shares with the actor.
