The prom is a special time in a young girl’s life, and Emily was no exception. She had planned everything, from her outfit to her hair and makeup. But her stepmother, Carla, had other ideas. The limousine picked Emily up, and when she arrived at the ballroom, all heads turned. She felt like a princess and, for the first time in a long while, felt her mother’s presence.
