Josh Brolin revealed James Cameron’s reaction to his refusal to take a role in the new “Avatar”.

Josh Brolin (Only the Brave, Dune, Dune: Part Two) shared James Cameron’s reaction to his decision to turn down a role in the Avatar sequel.

The 56-year-old actor revealed how he declined the opportunity to portray a new character in Avatar: The Way of Water, which came 13 years after the release of the original film. According to Brolin, the 70-year-old director was “upset” about his refusal to join the cast.

“I heard that he was frustrated. I understand his feelings—when someone has ideas, as well as status and power, they get used to others expressing gratitude for their offers. I can’t say for sure if that was the case with him, as I don’t know him well enough. But it’s important to note that it was about the project, not him as a person,” Brolin said, as quoted by the Daily Mail. The actor did not elaborate on the specific reasons for declining the role.
