The stunning Lucia Ponti is already 18 years old. It’s the perfect time for her first public appearances.

18-year-old Lucia Ponti, the granddaughter of Sophia Loren, daughter of actress Sasha Alexander and film star Edoardo Ponti, attended her first debutante ball at the luxurious Shangri-La Paris hotel. The Brown University student and Geneva native dazzled in a vintage striped lace dress by Giorgio Armani, complemented by a striking diamond and emerald necklace.

In an interview with HELLO!, Lucia confessed that her legendary 90-year-old grandmother developed her exquisite sense of style.

“My grandmother always believed in timeless elegance and in wearing what reflects your true essence. When I was growing up, she taught me to appreciate simplicity and always add a touch of uniqueness to my outfit.”

According to Lucia, her famous grandmother’s wardrobe is “full of items with history,” and she tries to follow the same approach when selecting her clothes.

I usually choose dresses or clothes in which I feel confident, but at the same time, comfortable. I looked through other dresses presented at the debutante ball in previous years, and each one beautifully complemented the girls’ looks. I just hoped to find a dress that would suit me just as well.

Lucia also shared more about her relationship with Sophia, who currently lives in Switzerland.

We are very close, – she emphasized. – We often visit her in Geneva, and she also comes to see us in Los Angeles. I love her so much, and despite the distance, we spend a lot of time together.
