Brad Pitt is willing to do whatever it takes to restore his relationship with his children after the airplane incident eight years ago, Radar Online reports.
“Since the split eight years ago, his relationship with the children has not been restored. It’s been a very tough road, but Brad is not giving up — he wants to save his family. He continues to reach out to his children to let them know he loves them and can’t stop hoping that this might be the year they come back,” an anonymous source said.
The source also noted that after the incident on the plane, the actor seriously decided to prove his intentions to change to his children: “After Brad and Angelina separated, he gave the children some time and tried to prove to them that he had worked on himself. He went to therapy, quit drinking, and slowly began to atone for his mistakes.”
Previously, the publication reported that the actor “felt hurt” when Shiloh officially requested to drop his last name on her 18th birthday in May. “They used to have a good relationship, but that’s in the past, and it breaks his heart. Brad feels that Angelina has turned the children against him,” the source said.
The famous couple has six children: sons Maddox, Pax, and Knox, as well as daughters Zahara, Shiloh, and Vivienne. Amid their complicated divorce, the children have had little contact with Pitt. It was only after seven years, last summer, that they officially completed the divorce process.
