Country music star Carrie Underwood will perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony.

Country music star Carrie Underwood will perform “America the Beautiful” at the inauguration of newly elected President Donald Trump.

“I love our country, and it’s a great honor for me to be asked to sing at the inauguration and to be part of this historic event,” Underwood said in a statement to CNN. “It’s a great honor to answer the call at a time when we all need to unite in the spirit of togetherness and look toward the future.”

Trump’s inauguration as the 47th President of the United States will take place on January 20 at the U.S. Capitol.

Underwood will have a major moment at the inauguration, considering Hollywood’s silence during Trump’s political career.

During his first term and in the last three elections, Trump struggled to win the support of major Hollywood stars. Last year at the Republican National Convention, the two biggest stars on stage with Trump were musician Kid Rock and former WWE wrestler Hulk Hogan.

The Grammy Award-winning singer is as famous as it gets in country music, not only with numerous platinum hits but also with public and mainstream business ventures. Underwood is the face of Sunday Night Football and is preparing to debut as a judge on ABC’s “American Idol” singing competition in March, a show that made her famous after winning in 2005.
