Nita Ambani wore an 18th-century necklace to Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony.

Nita Ambani, the wife of India’s richest man Mukesh Ambani, attended Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony dressed in a silk saree made with 100 traditional motifs inspired by magnificent temples.

With her attire, Nita paid tribute to India’s rich cultural heritage. The custom-made Kanchipuram silk saree displayed over 100 intricate traditional designs, each inspired by the grand temples of Kanchipuram, which symbolize India’s artistic legacy.

The saree, a work of art by national award-winning artist B. Krishnamurthy, included symbolic motifs such as Iruthalapaksin (the two-headed eagle of Lord Vishnu), Mayil (the peacock symbolizing immortality), and Sorgavasal (animal tracks from Indian folklore). The vibrant silk saree was paired with a velvet blouse by designer Manish Malhotra, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern elegance.

To add even more luxury to her look, Ambani chose an 18th-century necklace. Crafted in South India using the gold kundan technique, the necklace is shaped like a parrot and is encrusted with stones, emeralds, diamonds, and pearls. This 200-year-old masterpiece, with red and green enamel detailing, embodied the eternal beauty of Indian jewelry.

Nita completed the look with a rare Hermès Kelly Mini crocodile black handbag worth around $45,000.
