John Travolta tried a Pulp Fiction-inspired steak that costs $1,000.

“Pulp Fiction” star John Travolta tried a $1,000 steak served in a glittering briefcase.

71-year-old Travolta visited Papi Steak* in Miami to try the Pulp Fiction-inspired “Beef Case” dish—an Australian Wagyu steak served in a sleek briefcase.

The dish is a reference to Quentin Tarantino’s iconic 1994 film Pulp Fiction, in which Travolta’s and Samuel L. Jackson’s characters search for a mysterious briefcase—though its contents are never revealed. At one point, Vincent Vega (played by Travolta) opens the case and reacts with clear delight, leaving its true contents up to the viewer’s imagination.

According to TMZ, Travolta recreated the moment with a knowing nod when the steak was presented to him at Papi Steak, accompanied by restaurant co-owners Dave Grutman and David “Papi” Einhorn.
