An Actor Just 1.07 Meters Tall Married a Woman of the Same Height — and They Had Extraordinary Children

Warwick Davis is a British actor best known for his roles in the “Star Wars” films, where he played the Ewok Wicket, and in the “Harry Potter” movies, where he portrayed Professor Flitwick and the goblin Griphook.

Warwick Davis is married to Samantha Davis. They met on the set of the movie “Willow,” in which Samantha, like Warwick, played one of the roles. Their love blossomed quickly, and in 1991 they got married.

Davis was born with a rare genetic condition called achondroplasia — a form of dwarfism that limits a person’s height to about 42–48 inches (107–120 cm).

Unfortunately, his wife Samantha has a different type of dwarfism: spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita. This rare combination posed serious challenges for their family life, especially when it came to having children.

The issue was that if a child inherited both dwarfism genes, the combination would be fatal. Sadly, this is what happened with Warwick and Samantha’s first two children.

The couple’s first child, a son named Lloyd, was born but sadly passed away shortly after birth. The same thing happened with their second daughter. However, the couple didn’t give up and eventually had two healthy children: a daughter named Annabelle and a son named Harrison.

Both inherited dwarfism, but only from one side, which allowed them to be born healthy.

Warwick Davis always says that his family is his biggest support, and he is incredibly grateful to his wife for her love and strength. Together they have endured many difficult times but have remained a strong and loving family.
