The British chocolatiers have unveiled what they call the world’s largest Cadbury Creme Egg.
Cadbury proudly announces that the egg is as tall as an emperor penguin and weighs as much as a newborn foal, measuring 90 centimeters in height and 45 kilograms in weight.
The egg was displayed at the Cadbury World tourist attraction in Birmingham, and it’s not a fake. It’s made of real chocolate, with an authentic gooey and soft center, even engraved with the brand’s signature stripes.
The only part of the Easter treat that isn’t entirely real is the packaging.
Terry Collins, who created the egg alongside fellow chocolatier Don Jackson, mentioned that “unfortunately, no one can eat this egg.” When asked by BBC Radio 5 Live if he managed to taste a piece while creating it, he admitted that he was indeed tempted.
“Here at Cadbury World, we create something special for each season, and we thought, ‘What’s the best way to celebrate Easter, if not with something iconic like a Creme Egg?’ and decided to make it as large as possible.”
The duo crafted the egg by hand over two and a half days.
