Alla Pugacheva’s Pension Journey: From Russia to Cyprus and Beyond

Alla Pugacheva, who left Russia, has been receiving a state pension for three years.

Taking into account all of the singer’s merits, her monthly allowance amounts to about 60,000 rubles.

It is also noted that Pugacheva is entitled to additional payments for being awarded the title of People’s Artist of the USSR and for performing in Chernobyl in front of the liquidators almost immediately after the disaster, which resulted in radiation exposure for the star.

In Israel, where Pugacheva initially moved with her family, she did not receive any payments. According to the country’s laws, only citizens who have worked for the benefit of the state for at least 10 years are eligible for a pension.

In Cyprus, where the singer currently resides, she also does not receive any payments. She could be eligible for benefits only if she had no other pension income. However, even if Pugacheva gave up her Russian pension, she would still not qualify for Cypriot benefits, as she hasn’t lived in any EU country for at least 20 years.

Of course, it’s no secret that 75-year-old Alla Borisovna has sufficient means to live comfortably, but she nevertheless continues to receive her Russian pension.
