Alla Pugacheva may return to Russia — the reason for her comeback

Since Alla Pugacheva left her homeland a few years ago, rumors about her return have regularly circulated online — only to turn out false each time. Now, new information has emerged claiming that Pugacheva might come back to participate in the “New Wave” music festival. Here’s what we know about her possible return.

This news was shared by journalist Vadim Manukyan. In a conversation with *Abzats*, he stated that the festival organizers have already sent her an invitation. “Legally, there are no restrictions on her in Russia — no criminal cases have been opened against her,” Manukyan said, adding that he personally believes Pugacheva’s return would be a bad idea. According to him, the legendary singer wouldn’t return to reconnect with fans — many of whom have turned away from her — but for a very different reason.

In Manukyan’s view, the Prima Donna would come back to spite everyone and make a loud statement. “Just to stick it to all of us. If she comes and performs, it will trigger a negative reaction. Her return would have a catastrophic effect on society,” the journalist said boldly. He sincerely hopes that either the organizers will withdraw the invitation or that Pugacheva herself will decide not to come.

Incidentally, Pavel Rudchenko agrees with Manukyan. In an interview with *NEWS.ru*, he remarked that Pugacheva’s return would serve only one purpose — to create a media buzz. “If she goes through with this, it would definitely be for PR and shock value, not to win back her audience,” the producer commented. Opinions in the comment sections are divided.

Some are strongly opposed to Alla Borisovna performing at the country’s biggest and most popular music festival, viewing her as a traitor to the nation. Others see nothing wrong with her return. Many online users believe Pugacheva is still an iconic figure in the Russian music industry. Her songs remain well-known and widely loved, and plenty of fans would love to hear her perform live again.
