Rod Stewart pauses Athens concert after clash with fan

Legendary British singer Rod Stewart drew attention during his concert in Athens after briefly stopping the show to address a disruptive fan. The incident took place during the artist’s performance at the OAKA Sports Hall and was later reported by international media.

The 80-year-old musician was in the middle of performing his hit Do Ya Think I’m Sexy when he suddenly interrupted the song. Stewart turned toward the audience and reacted sharply to one concertgoer whose loud remarks appeared to cross the line. According to witnesses, the singer was unhappy with inappropriate language coming from the crowd.

Visibly irritated, Stewart made it clear that such behavior was unacceptable and asked the fan to leave, stating that the disruption was ruining the experience for others. After addressing the situation, the artist returned to the stage and continued the concert, which went on without further incidents.

Footage of the moment quickly circulated online, prompting fans to speculate about the reason behind Stewart’s unusually emotional response. Some users suggested that his mood may have been affected by a recent football disappointment, as his favorite team, Celtic, had lost the Scottish League Cup final to St Mirren with a 1–3 score just days earlier.

Despite the brief interruption, the Athens concert remained part of a successful tour for the musician. Rod Stewart is scheduled to perform next in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, December 17.

After that show, he plans to take a three-month break before resuming touring in the United States in February, with upcoming concerts in Hollywood, New Orleans, and Las Vegas.
