Meghan Markle revealed that she was diagnosed with a “rare and scary” condition.

Meghan Markle admitted that she was diagnosed with postpartum preeclampsia.

The wife of Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, revealed the serious diagnosis she received after the birth of their second child. This was reported by CNN.

In the first episode of the podcast “The Businesswoman’s Confession,” the Duchess of Sussex confessed that she experienced postpartum preeclampsia.

The former actress called the diagnosis “rare and scary,” emphasizing that it poses a life-threatening risk to the mother. Postpartum preeclampsia can develop within six weeks after childbirth.

Preeclampsia is a condition affecting blood pressure and occurs in 5-8% of pregnancies. Symptoms include headaches, swelling, difficulty breathing, vision problems, abdominal pain, and nausea. Preeclampsia can lead to seizures and even death.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry married in 2018. Two years later, the couple stepped back from royal duties and moved to Los Angeles, the former actress’s hometown. They are raising two children: son Archie and daughter Lilibet.
